My husband Dave and I had talked many times about starting up a small business to both sell his photographs and also to help people trace their family ancestry as photography has been Dave's passion for many years and I love to dig through old family records to find out where we came from so we decided that as we weren't getting any younger and that it was now or never, why not become Seniorpreneurs!! One night, while sitting in front of a lovely fire watching some music videos, we came across a great Scottish group called Clanadonia, who are a tribal drum and pipe band. They were playing a tune called Hamsterheid... we looked at each at each other, grinned and almost simultaneously said "That's it - that's what we'll call the company!" and that is how Hamsterheid Productions was born in the early months of 2019 in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. As the artistic one in the family, Dave set upon creating our quirky logo, we got a licence for the company and voila! on August 1, 2019, we were in business.
We have two divisions to the company - Dave Nicholson Photography and Skeletons in the Closet. To begin with we are concentrating on getting the photography side of things up and running and hopefully early 2021 we will focus on Skeletons.
Hamsterheid also hosts websites for family and close friends - Lynn's Lucky Horseshoes belongs to my talented sister who creates beautiful gifts from horseshoes.
